Yoga with Laura
I integrate a holistic approach into my own yoga practice, and this is reflected in my classes. From teachings such as Reiki and Kinesiology, I guide students to connect with their innate healing potential through the chakras and meridians and deepen their awareness of both the physical and energetic body. Through heart-centered teaching, my goal is to illuminate the path to self-acceptance, self-love, and inner peace, helping each student return to their true essence through breathe and movement.

Yoga with Laura
Yin
A beautiful meditative and restorative class. This practice encourages individuals to soften both physically and mentally, allowing the body to rest and the mind to release tension. It involves passive stretches held for 2-5 minutes, usually done sitting or lying down. Focusing on the connective tissue, fascia and ligaments, yin aids in releasing stored tension and stress in the body, promoting relaxation, introspection and presence. By surrendering to the present moment, we allow natural healing to occur.
Pranayama
Pranayama is a practice of controlled breathing in yoga, designed to regulate the flow of prana (life force or energy) in the body. The term "pranayama" comes from two Sanskrit words: "prana" meaning life force or vital energy, and "yama" meaning control or discipline. Through various breathing techniques, pranayama helps to balance energy, calm the mind and nervous system.

Knowing your bodies needs is very important when choosing a style of yoga. Our bodies needs vary from day to day - sometimes we need a lighter practice, other times we need a more powerful practice. If you are looking for something to help you relax, wind down and activate your parasympathetic nervous system choosing Hatha (slow and steady) or yin (passive and meditative) is beneficial. If you are looking for something fast paced and energetic choose Vinyasa!
